(More customer reviews)I removed the rubber piece that usually fits in the drain because it was gunked up on the back side where I couldn't see it, but I could sure smell it! This piece is much cleaner, a hard rubber or plastic and I like that you can scrape debris down the drain with it. It looked smaller than I expected, but fits perfectly and easily sits on the flange of the drain. The only caveat is that when I run the disposal, some food gets thru the spaces and comes back up into the sink.
