(More customer reviews)I have researched trash cans for six months or so. I didn't want to buy something and the next week some new technology comes along and antiquates my well thought out purchase.
This product gets a high rating. The plastic is thick and strong and feels solid. The dolley I ordered for it will help me to use it throughout my kitchen area. I can just roll it around. The dolley raises the can slightly making it easier to reach. I also purchased a lid. The grey lid visually balances out the can. The lid is made of the same strong firm plastic as the can. Fit and finish could be better. There are some rough edges from the plastic molding process.
These innovations: wheels, a lid, should keep round trash cans on wheels in the technology lead for years.
Other innovations could have been included: a mechanical lid for example. At the time of this review International interests cannot agree on which foot should be used. Special interests say the foot activation is a barrier to some who cannot use their feet and threaten to sue.
I recommend this item. If you need a garbage can that will stand the test of time and won't offend anyone, this is your container.
Doing this research I have learned that in order to be considered a can, it must include the joining of one or more parts.
The correct terminology is container. Plastic injected molded container.
