Before using this product, I used to stack a lot of magazines and boxes to lift up the disposal in order to ease off the weight when taking the unit off and install a new one in place. With this tool, all you need to do is to place it under the garbage disposal and "telescope" the support to the base of the disposal so that you don't have to worry about the "weight" issue when removing the old disposal unit. Installing a new disposal is a breeze. A real "Back Saver" tool as the vendor advertised! If you are thinking to replace the disposal unit yourself, get one and you will find out how easy the job becomes.
